Trade Offers, Rumors, News

August 9th:
Stowe makes one last attempt to stay close by trading Ellis Burks and Mark Lewis to Tony for Tony Womack and Karim Garcia.

July 23rd:
I had to back off the Behrman transaction putting Brant Brown in at 1B for Eisenreich. Turns out Brown only played first base 12 times last year and 4 times this year. In both cases, just not quite enough to qualify.

July 2nd:
Hagen is really busy wheeling and dealing. Anderson just reported trading Moises Alou and CJ Nitkowski to Pat for Eric Young and Bob Wickman. Carl also wants everyone to know that Alan Benes is available for anyone wanting to take a chance for this year --- or next. And the Banks are so excited about getting Bottalico back that they've put in next week's transaction already. Want to wait and see how well Ricky pitches, Mark?

June 13th:
Rodney reported trading his 2 AL "prospects" Palmeiro and Mo Vaughn to Tony for LA relievers Radinsky and Osuna.

May 23rd:
Copping and Kramer make big 5 for 5 player swap. Paul trades away Chan Ho Park, Pokey Reese, Darrin Jackson, Mike Lansing, and Ryan Kleso to Chris for Todd Stottlemeyer, Jon Lieber, Russ Springer, Manny Alexander, and Geoff Jenkins.

May 19th:
I have changed my mind once again. Week to Date will always represent the current week from Monday's games to present. On Tuesdays, it WILL be the same as Yesterdays. Trying to make it represent the last 8 days on Tuesdays produced too many problems and errors.

May 6th:
The Week-to-Date report shows how your players have done for the last 2 to 8 days. They are Monday through the previous night's games. On Tuesdays they are somewhat inaccurate. Rather than just repeat the same report that Yesterday already shows, Tuesday's Week-to-Date reflects the previous 8 days. But players benched or dropped on Monday are not included, thus they are not quite accurate. Of course, it doesn't matter, as these interim reports are only guides to show how your players are doing in recent games.

Also, always be on the lookout for errors or things not working right. Please let me know if something isn't what you think it should. I may well just not be aware of a broken link or some mistake made in reports or whatever.

May 5th:
Too much good pitching has Mark Schantz willing to part with the likes of Maddux, Urbina, or Glavine for comparable hitting power.

May 1st:
Tony announces big trade with Schantz. He trades Mark Brad Fullmer for Mark Kotsay. Mark's team needed some sort of shakeup!

April 30th:
Chris Kramer wants everyone to know that he is willing to part with Charlie Hayes. He didn't say what he wanted.

April 29th:
Let me know what Team Name you wish to go by. I can make sure that name appears on the Standings and Totals pages. It doesn't have to remain what I've been using. I can also have a Team Nickname in addition, if you wish. That name will only appear in the Listing like I used to do. The Team Name can be up to 16 characters or so. The Nickname can be longer.

April 22nd:
I found a bug I had in doing Pitcher valuations. I now have Batter and Pitcher valuations so that they get "normalized" each day. I make it so the top 165 hitters total around $2200 and the top 105 pitchers around $1200, and I try to make the 165th hitter and the 105th pitcher be worth about $1. Players values will change each day even if they don't play. This is because their value "relative" to the rest of the league would be affected by the results of those players who do play. All this is only a guide, of course, and the author bears no responsibility for any misguidance these numbers may bring you!

April 18th:
I've added Pitcher Valuations and fixed Batter Valuations. I've added Freepool status indicators. If a player is available in the free pool he will be marked with an "O" (for the Overbidders League). I've also modifed daily reports so that if you have no innings pitched, your ERA and RATIO will be set to 4.321 and 1.4321 respectively for sake of the totals. This is meaningless, but provides a better indication of daily results.

April 13th:
Too Much Fantasy Golf, I guess. I just discovered I totaled ERA and RATIO backwards! I was giving 13 points to the worst ERA/RATIO and only 1 point to the best. I also found one other minor error in the reports. Thanks to Chris Kramer for discovering these problems with the reports.

Data errors (from CSW) were found for several hitters. They have a problem with players of the same last name (e.g. Jose and Carlos Hernandez, Kevin & Brian Jordan). I have now rerun the reports (for the 3rd time today), but this last error was due to CSW, and leaves me concerned for future such errors. So --- let's all cross our fingers (I've sent them lots of complaint notes.)

April 11th:
Reports have now been posted. Please look for any errors. I will continually be modifying format of the reports to make them better. I intend to list "other" hitters just after active hitters, and then "other" pitchers just after the pitchers so that the individual statistics will read better. I also intend to have daily boxscore analysis soon too.

April 8th:
Getting Ready. I'm still working on things.
